HUNTSVILLE, AL., June 23, 2016 – Each year the Huntsville Association of Technical Societies, now known as The Association, hosts its Professional of the Year banquet featuring members and honorees from local technical societies. This year, the Huntsville Association of Small Businesses in Advanced Technology (HASBAT) chose PROJECTXYZ President, Larry Lewis, as its POY. Mr. Lewis was recognized for his leadership in the technical arena as well as his support of “community through collaboration” which was this year’s theme.
Highlights that contributed to Mr. Lewis being named HASBAT’s 2016 POY include his leadership at PROJECTXYZ where he led the company’s acceptance into the DOD Mentor Protégé program as a mentor and launched a successful intern program for local High School students, exposing them to advanced technology. Additionally, Mr. Lewis was instrumental in rejuvenating BizTech, Huntsville’s start-up incubator where he now serves as CEO, including collaborating with WBCNA to launch Innovate Huntsville Week.
Mr. Lewis was honored at The Association’s 2016 POY Dinner and the July 2016 HASBAT luncheon.
